The second of my goodies which I'm reviewing from Planet Earth Wholesale this week is the Perfect Fit Cock Armour.
Usually cock rings aren't something which I'm terribly interested in, but I do make an exception when there's something a little special about the design, such as with several of the Oxballs products I've tried. It's funny because in the past I've described the Oxballs Cocksling as being like a suit of armour for the penis, and now Perfect Fit have gone and made a product with "Armour" in the name, so I guess there's something to be said for minds which think alike.
Check out the review after the jump!
The Perfect Fit Cock Armour is a cock ring which incorporates into the design a perineum stimulator - something which I've noticed is becoming increasingly popular in recent times. It's a one-size-fits-all product, but like the Tunnel Plug it's available in a choice of three different colours: red, black, and clear, and as you may have guessed I went for the red again.
The Cock Armour is made from something known as "PFBlend" - Perfect Fit's own proprietary material which is described on the packaging with the words "stretches like TPR, durable and safe like silicone." As with any proprietary product it does remain a bit of a mystery what the actual composition of it is, but it does seem to be a really nice high quality material. Much like with silicone it's a completely odourless and tasteless product, and that's always an important factor for me with any toy, and generally a good indicator that something's safe for the body. The material being odourless is also doubly important with a cock ring if you're expecting someone to have their face in your crotch while you're wearing it. In terms of its physical properties the material has a nice amount of bend and flex to it, so it's pliable enough for its intended purposes.
The construction of the cock ring is done to a really high standard with a nice uniform result. The surface of the material is smooth and shiny, with only a very faint mould line to break it up, and this is subtle enough to barely be felt. The material is slightly translucent giving it an attractive appearance, but which allows you to tell that the inside of the toy is free from any air bubbles, as well as the outside being clear of surface defects. I'm pleased to say that I really can't fault the manufacturing at all.
When you first take the Cock Armour out of its packaging you're quite likely to be struck by the size of it because it is rather large. The whole thing measures around 3 1/2" across due to the amount of material that it incorporates. Unlike traditional cock rings which just use a thin band of material to wrap around the genitalia, the Cock Armour has a 1 1/2" wide strap which sits against the pubic bone when worn and effectively frames the penis and testicles. The design is something which is as aesthetic as it is functional. The opening in the cock ring is 1 3/4" across, which seems a little large for something which is one-size-fits-all, though the material can stretch to accommodate more if needed. Out of one side of the cock ring protrudes a nub which is intended to sit against the perineum whilst it's being worn, and this angles backwards slightly in order to follow the shape of the body.
Putting the Cock Armour on is a simple enough task, and the material stretches enough to allow you to accomplish this either while erect or flaccid depending on your choice. The Cock Armour fits quite snugly around the penis and testicles and feels very comfortable to wear, as well as looking quite stunning. It's definitely a bit of a showpiece, and it showcases the genitals well causing them to stand proud and forward. My only slight complaint would be that personally I would have preferred a moderately tighter fit; I really enjoy to feel a good squeeze from my cock rings, but the pressure was just a little short of being ideal. For this reason it's definitely worth measuring yourself first if you're contemplating buying one, as guys who aren't that big are liable to find it a little loose. The perineum stimulator on the Cock Armour is very effective, which was a pleasant surprise for me as I've had mixed results with similar products in the past. There's a raised ridge on the inside of the nub, and this pushes against the perineum with a pleasant amount of force - it's not overly strong, but it's more than just the sensation of glancing contact. The length of the nub turns out to be ideal for directing the force to just the right point along the perineum and hitting the sweet spot, instead of either being too near to the anus or the rear of the testicles, which would render it less effective.
The Cock Armour feels great and quite natural to wear, and it's fairly versatile in how you can use it. You can wear it during sex or masturbation and enjoy the sensations of that gentle squeeze around the shaft, along with the light pressure rubbing on the perineum, or you can wear it beneath your underwear when you go out and make the most of the slightly larger bulge it gives you in the front. When you're done with it it comes off again just as easily as it went on, and thankfully pubic hairs tend to get caught much less in the material than they do in TPR, so you avoid any painful tugging while you're trying to negotiate things.
Overall I'd have to say that I can happily recommend the Cock Armour to anyone looking for a good quality cock ring with a perineum stimulator that actually works; it's definitely going to take its place alongside the Oxballs Cocksling as one of my favourite and most used cock rings in my collection. What separates the two is that the Cock Armour is better suited to those who prefer less restriction around the testicles. The only caveat to my recommendation would be that you want to be reasonably girthy to enjoy it best, so do check beforehand.
